Day Trips
Tahr Hunt: $4500 2 days/2 nights $9500pp 5 days/4 nights
Two day to 5 day long expeditions to hunt for Himalayan Tahr and Chamois. May – July is the rut, however any time of year is fine to hunt these animals. Helicopter access into remote high alpine areas, also 4WD and hike in options available for the more adventurous. A good fitness level is required as well as a sense of adventure. These trips are hard work and are not for the faint of heart. A great option for hunters that want to learn about high alpine safety and risk management in the New Zealand Mountains.

Red Stag Package 1 (max 12 points) 1 Hunter – 1 Stag $4800
Hunting Free Range Red Stags on a high country private station is some of the best hunting you will experience. The Red Stag needs no introduction as it’s an iconic big game animal to hunt here in New Zealand – 5 days hunting. There are no guarantees on size as this is free range hunting. Hunts from February to August. Best time is in the rut
Also, available on this hunt: Wild Pigs, Goats and small game shooting (pigs and goats extra cost)
If we see a stag bigger than 12 points that the hunter wants to shoot there will be option to upgrade to larger stag at extra cost. (Price given by guide at time of viewing stag).
Red Stag Package 2 (max 17 points) 1 Hunter – 1 Stag $7250

Father/Son/Daughter or Mother/Son/Daughter Hunt $1600
Hunting with family is what most hunters enjoy about there hunting the most. This trip is tailored for 2 Family members being that Father/Son or Daughter or Mother/Daughter orSon . Spending 2 nights and 3 days hunting free range animals on a high country private station for red deer, goats or pigs. Price includes 1 Red deer meat animal (non trophy)and 1 Goat(non trophy). Extra animals including pigs, goats and stags available at extra cost on request. Available all year round.
Pig Hunting Package 1 (1 Hunter) $2060
Tasman area Pig Hunting with trained dogs for Free Range Wild Pigs on Private and Public land. The dogs find the pigs and we then go and dispatch the animal with a knife or gun in some circumstances depending on size of pig. A real adrenaline rush. We hunt for meat and if we happen to catch a trophy boar this is a bonus. 3 days/2 nights hunting. Accommodation is at a chalet with see views of Tasman Bay. Hunting from May until October.
Available to hunt in the evenings on this trip is small game hunting (hares, rabbits and possums)
Pig Hunting Package 2 (1 Hunter) $3000
North Canterbury Hunting for Free Range Wild Canterbury Blue Pigs on Private and Public land. Staying in a back country private genuine hut using trained pig hunting dogs. This is a out in the bush roughing it type of hunt. Chasing pigs is a real adrenaline rush and once the dogs catch a pig we then get there quickly to dispatch the pig as quickly as possible. 4 days/3 nights hunting. Hunting from May until October.

Includes: Accommodation, Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, tea/coffee, Transfer from/to agreed airport, Guiding by PH, Meat, hunting license for area hunting, Field trophy preparation, transport on the hunting area, unofficial measuring of trophy, trophy photography.
Does not include: – tips, gun permits, ammunition, insurance, alcohol, taxidermy, export documentation, crating and shipping of trophies, taxes and levies on exporting of trophies, personal travel and/or medical insurance, gun rental.

5 Day Rafting access Hunt: $6500 pp
A expedition trip, all-inclusive journey for five days and five nights hunting Deer, pigs, goats, chamois, also Quail over winter. Using a raft to get from hunting spot to hunting spot.
Rafting Trips
3 day adventure raft fishing : $2800 one person / $950 four people +
Three days and two nights fishing using raft for access. Deer stalking optional in the evenings/mornings.

Environment
We follow strict environmental guidelines to ensure the places we visit are kept clean and green and in the same pristine condition for the next visitors.
Safety
All guiding with The Kiwi Bushman is subject to New Zealand safety guidelines, as well as strict professional codes of conduct. We are experts at managing risk in the backcountry and safety is a priority. However, all clients participate at their own risk.
Cancellations
We have limited spaces, therefore, there will be a 10% fee for any cancellation outside 2 weeks of departure date and there will be a 100% fee for no-shows or cancellations within 2 weeks of the intended departure date. If we have to cancel for whatever reason (weather/river conditions) you will receive a 100% refund.
